Session 1 - Fundamentals and Orientation

Session 1 establishes the baseline and working method for the semester:
fast skill mapping, non-destructive editing principles, and first AI/manual
comparison points in Photoshop.

Structure:
Block A (Ex 1.1) baseline timed portrait edit,
Block B (Ex 1.2) indestructible landscape workflow,
optional challenge blocks B1.1, B1.2, and BUF1 if time permits.

Learning Content

Focus areas are layer discipline, Smart Objects, masks, adjustment logic,
and critical comparison of manual edits vs AI-assisted steps.

Homework transition: students submit Ex 1.1 and Ex 1.2 PSDs and start a
process journal with screenshots and notes.
